GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks
Your fonts appear in the GeneratePress theme’s Customizer and in the GenerateBlocks font picker. Either one can be used without the other. Checked against their developer documentation and source.
GeneratePress theme#
Your fonts are added to the GeneratePress Font Manager, so they’re available wherever the theme lets you pick a font.
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Typography.
- Your fonts are already in the Font Manager list. Add a typography rule, for example Headings, and choose your font.
- Click Publish.
Your fonts are added on the fly and are never saved into your theme settings. Fonts you added yourself in the Font Manager stay as they are. If you switch Nahnu Fonts off, GeneratePress settings are left clean.
GenerateBlocks#
Your fonts appear in a Nahnu Fonts group at the top of the font family list in GenerateBlocks blocks.
- Select a GenerateBlocks block, such as Headline or Text.
- Open Typography and choose the font from the Nahnu Fonts group.
The block editor’s own Typography panel also lists your fonts. See Block editor and Site Editor.
Google Fonts switch#
With Stop page builders loading Google Fonts on (the default):
- GeneratePress hides Google fonts in the Customizer and doesn’t load them.
- GenerateBlocks builds no Google Fonts request, on the site or in the editor. Its saved “Disable Google Fonts” setting isn’t changed.
Blocks or theme settings that already use a Google font keep its name. Add that family in Nahnu Fonts to serve it from your site.
Turn it off#
Settings → Where fonts appear → Use with GeneratePress / GenerateBlocks. One switch covers both.
