Settings reference

Nahnu Fonts → Settings has two groups. Settings changes are saved together with the Save settings bar that appears at the bottom once you change something; Discard undoes them. Tools (Adobe Fonts, Import and export) act right away and don’t need saving.

If you leave the page with unsaved changes, your browser asks first. Switching to another Nahnu Fonts screen keeps the changes until you save or discard them.

Google Fonts#

Setting	Default	What it does
Download source	Bunny Fonts	Where Google Fonts are browsed and downloaded from in the admin: Bunny Fonts (GDPR-friendly mirror, EU) or Google Fonts directly (needed for variable files). Visitors always load your copies
Default character sets	Latin	Pre-selected sets when you add a Google Font: Latin, Latin Extended, Cyrillic, Cyrillic Extended, Greek, Vietnamese. Changeable per font. At least one is required

Loading#

Setting	Default	What it does
Font display	swap	The font-display value for every font. See Performance
Print the CSS inside each page	Off	Prints the font CSS in each page instead of linking the file. Saves a request but can’t be cached between pages
Clear page cache when fonts change	On	Clears supported cache plugins when fonts change. Lists the cache plugins detected on your site
Stylesheet	(info)	Shows uploads/nahnu-fonts/nahnu-fonts.css, rebuilt automatically, or says the CSS is printed inline because the folder isn’t writable

Where fonts appear#

Setting	Default	What it does
Block editor & Site Editor	On	Adds your fonts to the Typography font picker
CSS variables	On	Outputs a --nahnu-font-* variable for each font
Use with (each page builder or theme)	On	One switch per supported builder or theme that is active on your site. Turn one off to stop adding your fonts there. Builders that aren’t active are listed underneath

Privacy#

Setting	Default	What it does
Block Google Fonts from the theme and other plugins	Off	Removes stylesheets loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Add those fonts in Nahnu Fonts first
Stop page builders loading Google Fonts	On	Turns off each builder’s own Google Fonts where the builder supports it. See Integrations → Overview

Jooosi Fon#

Shown only after you moved fonts from Jooosi Fon.

Setting	Default	What it does
Keep Jooosi Fon’s CSS names working	On after a move	Outputs Jooosi Fon’s --jf--family-* variables, classes and block editor font names. Turn off once nothing uses them
Move fonts again	(button)	Brings over fonts added in Jooosi Fon since the last move

Uninstall#

Setting	Default	What it does
Delete everything when the plugin is deleted	Off	When on, deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen removes all fonts, files, settings and the license. Leave off to keep your fonts if you reinstall

Changing settings from code or the command line#

Every setting has a key, for example font_display or builder_google_fonts_off. Use wp nahnu-fonts setting <key> <value> or the nahnu_fonts_settings filter. See WP-CLI and Hooks in Developer.
