Classic Editor
In the classic (TinyMCE) editor, Nahnu Fonts adds a Font Family menu to the toolbar with your fonts at the top, followed by the usual default fonts. Checked against the TinyMCE 4 documentation.
Use a font#
- Edit a post or page in the classic editor, on the Visual tab.
- If you only see one toolbar row, click Toolbar Toggle (the last button) to show the second row.
- Select some text, open the font menu at the start of the second row and choose your font.
The editor previews your fonts, as your stylesheet is loaded inside it.
Where it works#
The menu appears in every TinyMCE editor on your site, for example:
- the Classic Editor plugin
- the Classic block in the block editor
- the Text widget
- plugins that use the WordPress classic editor for their fields
It only appears once you have at least one active font.
Good to know#
- Fonts picked this way are saved as inline styles in your content, for example
<span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif">. If you later delete the font, that text shows the fallback. - For headings and body text across the site, “Apply to” selectors or your theme’s settings are easier to manage than per-paragraph fonts.
- The Google Fonts switch doesn’t apply: the classic editor loads no Google Fonts.
Turn it off#
