Import and export
Move your fonts and settings to another site in one .zip file, for example from staging to live, or to start a new client site with your usual fonts.
Both need the PHP Zip extension. If it’s missing, the section says so and the buttons are off; ask your host to enable it.
What’s in an export#
| Included | Not included |
|---|---|
| Every font’s files (self-hosted fonts) | Your license key and activation |
| Each font’s name, fallback, on/off state, “Apply to” selectors and preloads | The “Delete everything when the plugin is deleted” setting |
| Adobe Fonts entries and your Adobe project ID | Adobe’s font files (they always load from Adobe) |
| All other settings |
Export#
- Go to Nahnu Fonts → Settings → Import & export.
- Click Export fonts & settings.
A .zip file downloads with every font file and your settings.
To export only some fonts, use WP-CLI: wp nahnu-fonts export fonts.zip --fonts=inter,lora.
Import#
- On the other site, install and activate Nahnu Fonts.
- Go to Nahnu Fonts → Settings → Import & export.
- Under Import, choose the .zip file exported from Nahnu Fonts.
- Click Import.
The import:
- adds the fonts to the site
- replaces fonts with the same name
- applies the settings in the file
- rebuilds the stylesheet and clears the page cache
Fonts already on the site that aren’t in the file are kept.
After importing#
- Activate the license on the new site in Nahnu Fonts → License, if you want updates there.
- Check page builder switches in Settings → Where fonts appear. Settings for builders that aren’t active on the new site have no effect until they are.
- Check Adobe Fonts. If your Adobe web project limits which domains it works on, add the new domain on fonts.adobe.com.
Only use files you trust#
Import only .zip files exported from Nahnu Fonts. Other files are refused.
