Moving from Jooosi Fon
Nahnu Fonts moves everything from Jooosi Fon (or Yabe Webfont, its old name) in one click, and your pages keep their fonts. Jooosi Fon’s own data is never changed, so you can go back at any time.
What is moved#
| Moved | Notes |
|---|---|
| Every font and its files | Google, custom and Adobe fonts |
| Family names | Unchanged, so builders that store the family name keep working |
| On/off state | Inactive fonts stay inactive |
| Preloads | Kept per style |
| “Apply to” selectors | Kept |
| Adobe Fonts project | Connected in Nahnu Fonts |
| Jooosi Fon’s CSS names | Its --jf--family-* and --ywf--family-* variables, .has-{slug}-font-family classes and block editor font names keep working |
Anything that can’t be moved is listed after the move.
Move your fonts#
- Install and activate Nahnu Fonts. Leave Jooosi Fon active for now.
- Open Nahnu Fonts → Font library. A panel says “We found … in Jooosi Fon”.
- Click Move fonts from Jooosi Fon.
- When it finishes, a summary shows what was moved.
Re-download your Google Fonts#
After the move, a Re-download your Google Fonts panel appears. Click Re-download all through Bunny Fonts (or from Google Fonts, if that is your source in Settings). This fetches fresh, optimised copies with the same weights, styles and character sets. Your settings for each font are kept.
You can also re-download one font at a time with its Re-download button.
Finish up#
- Check a few pages of your site.
- Go to Plugins and deactivate Jooosi Fon. While both are active, your fonts load twice, and the library reminds you of this.
- Later, once nothing on your site uses Jooosi Fon’s CSS names, turn off Settings → Jooosi Fon → Keep Jooosi Fon’s CSS names working.
Moving again#
Added fonts in Jooosi Fon after the first move? Use Settings → Jooosi Fon → Move fonts again, or the Move fonts from Jooosi Fon again button in the library.
Moving again refreshes fonts that still use Jooosi Fon’s files and keeps the changes you made in Nahnu Fonts. Fonts you added or re-downloaded in Nahnu Fonts are not touched.
Good to know#
- The Jooosi Fon section of Settings only appears after you have moved your fonts.
- “Stop page builders loading Google Fonts” is on by default in Nahnu Fonts, just as in Jooosi Fon, so builder behavior stays the same.
